Donna Jean Campbell

Donna Jean Campbell, age 73, passed away early Saturday morning at her residence in Grove City, OH. Her family and community of dear friends surrounded her and will always remember her strength, courage and faith in the face of adversity. Donna, an illustrious homemaker, loving mother, and longtime member of Briggs Road Baptist Church, was born on August 3, 1940 to the Rev. Dale F. and Margaret (Kinniard) Pearson in Columbus, OH. She graduated from Franklin Heights High School in 1959 as a member of the school's first graduating class. Donna married Augustus Hickman on Nov. 14, 1959. Prior to the birth of their five children she worked clerically for International Harvester and Timken Roller Bearing. After raising her family, she obtained an associates degree in accounting from Mansfield Business College before going on to work as an accountant for the Mansfield Business College financial aid department and for the National Bicycle League. Donna possessed a creative talent, loved crafts and gardening and was a devoted and doting mother and grandmother. She drew great pleasure and fulfillment from volunteering at the Stowe Center, Christian Women's Job Corps, and her involvement in the Faith, Hope and Love fellowship meetings at her senior housing community. She is survived by her five children, Kelli Campbell (William, children Aaron, Katie, Zach, Sarah) of Sheridan WY, Scott (children Krista, Rebecca, Jeremiah) of West Jefferson, OH, Troy (Xiaomei, children Madison, Logan) of Scottsbluff, NE, Leslie Pierce (Chuck, children Mathew, Christian) of Grove City, OH, and Derrick (Kathryn, children Ella, Olivia, Greta) of Lebanon, OH, in addition to her great grandchild, Ava, her three siblings, Nancy Osterloh, Dale Pearson and Pam Kelly, her half-sister, Madeline Salyers, her two former spouses Augustus Hickman and William Campbell, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Services will be held Wednesday Nov. 20 at 11a.m. at Briggs Road Baptist Church, 3231 Briggs Road, Columbus, OH.
