Don Dover

Donald E. Dover, age 80, of Columbus, passed away on May 21, 2013. He was born to the late Daniel and Catherine Dover on June 12, 1932. Don was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School. He retired as a Foreman from the pressroom of the Columbus Dispatch. He was also a member of clubs and organizations such as; Aladdin Temple, Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Scottish Rite, and Fraternal Order of Police Associate Member. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Don Derflinger, Harry Strauss, and David "Jake" Strauss. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marjorie "Susie" Dover; sister, Pat Derflinger; nieces and nephews, Kathy Derflinger, Mike (Mary) Derflinger, Lori (James) Smith, Scott Miller, Christy (Mark) Borror, Denise (Tim) Weigand, Nick (Jenn) Strauss, and Stephanie (Brad) Crock; great-nieces and nephews, Brianne, Kaitlyn, Allyson, Taylor, Nicholas, Olivia, Lori, Brandon, Steven; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nick Strauss, Al Schaffer, Charlotte Strauss, and Carole Strauss; extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL 1740 Zollinger RD. where the family will receive friends from 5pm until the time of service.
