Dominick Richard J. ‘Rich” Rosato, age 68, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born October 7, 1945 in Summit, New Jersey to Dominick and Josephine Esposito Rosato.
Rich is survived by his son Timothy Rosato; mother Josephine Rosato; mother- in-law Smiles Zarich; sister-in-law Denese Zarich; nephews Stephan and Alex Rohrbaugh; daughter- in-law Jennifer Winslow Rosato; many other family members and special friends.
He joins his wife Melissa Zarich Rosato; his father Dominick J. Rosato; son Christopher Rosato; father-in-law Stephan Zarich.
Rich received his BA from Rio Grande College and his Masters in Guidance from The Ohio State University. From 1967-1972, he was a Teacher and Coach at New Albany High School, and from there became a Counselor and Assistant Principal at Big Walnut High School from 1972-1978. He went on to become the Principal of Big Walnut Elementary School in 1978 to until his retirement in 1997.
Throughout his career, he dedicated his life to providing the support and guidance students needed, as a Teacher, Administrator and Athletic Coach. He also held a membership with the Ohio Associates of Elementary School Administrators.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 5750 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Father Anthony A. Dinovo, Jr.,. Celebrant. Family will receive friends in the Vestibule of the church from 10am to the time of Mass. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Family request that no flowers be sent.
