

Dolores Diaz Ramos, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14. 2022 in Columbus, Ohio with Bayani, her beloved husband of 60 years, and daughter Caroline at her bedside. Her younger daughter, Elizabeth of Denver, was with her by video.
Dolores, fondly called Dolly by family and dear friends, was born in Iloilo, Philippines on April 3, 1931. In 1955, she was one of the early graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of the Philippines. She immigrated to Cleveland in 1957 where she met the love of her life. Together, Bayani and Dolly built a life full of love, laughter and good food. Her cooking and baking created a welcoming place for all to gather.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Juliana Diaz, and her siblings Natividad, Elena, Jose, Jr., Prospero, Jean and Ricardo. Dolores is survived by her beloved husband Bayani; daughters Caroline (Michael Wallenhorst) and Elizabeth (Joseph Thesing); sister Ilona and brother Aquiles; her cherished grandchildren, Mia, Ike and Nora, and grand-dog, Shirley; and many treasured in-laws, nieces, nephews and godchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, Saint Columbkille Parish, 6740 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark, Ohio.
