Diann Auld Reitelbach, 1931 -2023, preceded in death by her husband, Buz Reitelbach; her parents, Margaret and Henry AuId; her sister-in-law Joyce Auld; and brother David, who so graciously supported Diann’s son in his recovery from illness. Survived by her children Kirk Reitelbach and Karen Holman (John Sines), and her nephews Doug and Daniel Auld. Diann was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School (1949) and Ohio State University (1952). Member of St. Agatha Church in Upper Arlington; OSU Alumni Association; Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Childhood League of Columbus (Board IV); Pleasure Guild of Children's Hospital (Sustaining Board); Twig #116 of Nationwide Children's Hospital; Charles F. Menninger Society of Houston, Texas; and Mental Health America. At the age of 80, Diann penned and published Catching the Thief: A Story, A Search, and Schizophrenia, and taught and advocated its message of hope. At the age of 90, Diann was honored as an outstanding Ohioan by Ohio's House of Representatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Funeral mass at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1866 Northam Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43221 will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 16. Private burial at Green Lawn Cemetery.
