Diane Knight Masters

Diane K. Masters, 71, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 15, 2016. She was born July 6, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George Dewey and Dorothy (Saunders) Barker. She was a 1963 graduate of North High School. Her first job was in the cafeteria at Downtown Lazarus and later she was employed as a dispatcher for Suburban Motor Freight. Diane was a lifetime member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Diane loved family holiday gatherings, playing euchre, old movies, I Love Lucy and The Andy Griffith Show. She was extremely proud of her "Grandbabies" and attended all their school activities and sports functions. She would text them every night to say goodnight and that she loved them and sweet dreams. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by sisters Sara Jeanne Barker and Dorothy DeVoe. A devoted, giving and loving wife and mother, she is survived by Robert E. Masters her loving husband of 50 years, daughters Amy (Freddy) Slone and Dottie (Don) Honaker. Grandchildren Tyler Allen Honaker, Brooklynn Martinna Slone, Freddy Cline Slone III and Casey Elizabeth Honaker, longtime best friend Judy Chivilo, siblings Eddie (B.G.) Barker, Barbara (Arthur) Akers and John (Linda) Barker, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2PM at.
