Dawn passed away unexpectedly on 11/28/2020 at the age of 54. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 17, 1966; Dawn was a devoted wife and mother of three boys. She graduated High school at Thomas Worthington in 1984 and went on to study Marketing at Columbus State. Dawn and her husband, David, got married on April 20, 1991 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Worthington, Ohio. She worked at Heartbeat International Option Line for 17 years as she enjoyed helping others. A weblink to make a donation to Heartbeat International in memory of Dawn and her devotion to this organization is listed below.
Dawn was outgoing, sarcastic, and sharp-witted. She always had a sunny disposition…after 4pm. Dawn enjoyed spending time with her family at game nights, the bowling alley, and local restaurants. Her favorite hobbies included scrapbooking, bird watching, everything Supernatural (the tv show), and painting her nails to match the season. Her favorite anecdotes were “Hey Sunshine,” and “Long time no see!” Dawn was very bubbly and vivacious; she could make everyone laugh, including herself.
Preceded in death by her father James Kalb and her mother Helen Bergmann.
Survived by her husband David Truesdale of 29 years; her sons Matthew, Benjamin, and Daniel; her sister Karen Stickdorn (Kalb); and her cousins Darlene Kalb, Ronniann Cerro, and John Kalb.
A memorial gathering event to celebrate the life of Dawn will be planned and communicated once the pandemic is under control and social gatherings are permitted.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dawn’s memory may be made to Heartbeat International at https://give.cornerstone.cc/Heartbeat+International+Donate+Page/checkout

Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you,
you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
