A funeral service for David Lee Wyeth, Sr., age 54, of Newark, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 22, at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Michael A. Noble officiating and Rev. Dr. Charles W. Noble giving remarks. Burial will take place in Fairmount Cemetery.
David was born on May 13, 1959 in Newark, Ohio to Helen Louise (Tate) Wyeth Baughman and the late Steven Harold Wyeth. David passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Heath Nursing Care Center. David was a 1977 graduate of Heath High School. He worked with his father in masonry contracting and was also self-employed in the wood business.
David was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors in nature and loved fishing and animals. He also enjoyed playing pool, chess and cards.
He is survived by a son, David Lee (Alanoud) Wyeth, Jr. of Kuwait; grandchildren, Sara Ruby Wyeth and Adam Lee Wyeth; mother and step-father, Helen and David Baughman of Heath; brothers and sisters, Deborah Lynn (Art) Daugherty, Steven Wayne (Annette) Wyeth, Bobbi Jo (Michael) Eicher, Daniel Neil Wyeth and Amy Beth (Dave) Johansen, all of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Scott Wyeth.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
