David Scott Nethero, age 72, of Columbus, died Thursday, March 28, 2024 at his home. He was born October 12, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio to Harry and Patricia Nethero. He retired from General Motors (Fisher Body), where he was a pipefitter. David will be remembered for his love of family and his sense of humor. He was an avid “foodie” and Browns and Buckeye fan. He loved animals (especially cats), cars of all kinds, and science fiction. He is preceded in death by his wife, Penny Nethero, and parents, Harry and Patricia Nethero. He is survived by his children, Melissa (Thomas Nutini) Nethero, Heather (Allen) Bonham, and David (Cathy) Brant; grandchildren, Jesse, Thomas, Sean, Sara, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Destiny, Danielle, David, Forest, and Charlie; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Crit (Sandie) and Stephen Nethero; brother-in-law, Mark (Peggy) Platt; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Advantage by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 West Broad Street, where friends will be received from 2-4:00pm Tuesday.
