David (Sonny) Holt, 77, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 6, 2023. He was born May 14, 1946 in Galloway, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Martha Holt, sisters Judy (Holt) Carte, Carol Holt, and brother Dennis. He is survived by his children David E. Holt Jr., Marlyn Zeeck, David A. Holt, and Krystle (Holt) Hall; 5 grandchildren, Chris and John Zeeck, Wesley, Laila, and Cayden Hall, brothers Daryl and Danny, sisters Shirley Lipps and Ruby Perry and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former spouse Kathy Parker. David was a loving father and grandfather. David worked for OSU Agronomy for over 20 years. His passion was farming, tractors and the OSU Buckeyes. He was also a member of World Harvest Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 13, 2023 from 5PM to 7PM at the Advantage Funeral Home by Schoedinger – Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 where David’s funeral service will held on Friday July 14, 2023 at 1:30PM. Burial will follow his funeral service in Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.
