David W. Brown, age 81, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011. He was born in Columbus on June 16, 1930, to the late Paul “P.B.” and Katherine Brown. After graduating from Mifflin High School, David attended Miami University and The Ohio State University. He then served our country in the US Air Force as a fighter jet mechanic during the Korean Conflict. Once he returned home, he began working for his father’s business, Wege Marble and Tile Co., which he eventually purchased. David was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, as well as the Sports Car Club of America. He was an avid fan of sprint cars and racing. David was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Norma Jean Brown. He is survived by his children, Susie (Larry) Morwick, Ellen (Bob) Walton, David W. Brown Jr., and Steve Brown; grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Aaron and Brandon Brown, Lindy and Lauren Hall, Bryn Adair, Anthony Rardin, and Tiffany Robinson; 3 great grandchildren; and good friends, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ellis. Family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, September 23, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E.
