David Ricardo Belcher

David R. Belcher, 51, transitioned from this life on Friday, December 9, 2011. Preceded in death by father, Ernest Grant Belcher, Jr., and brother, John A. Belcher. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Hilda Logan Belcher; wife, Shana; loving daughters, Lakesaia Harvey, LaTasha Layne, and Deja Belcher; sisters, Hilda “Darleen” Belcher, Lori Belcher, Yolanda Brown, and Ayanna Garrett; four grandsons, Mario, Omari, Larry, and J’Shaun; one granddaughter, Chasaya; grandfather, James E. Stewart, Sr.; nieces, Maria Tyree and Miranda Brown; nephew, Clifford Belcher; Best Friend, Darrell Weaver; Special Friend, Ylisia Hargrow; friends & beloved family. David attended Beechcroft High School and worked as a painter. He loved the Lord and found his greatest peace in the company of animals; he especially enjoyed feeding the birds. He was a loving grandfather and will be remembered for his sense of humor. David was also an avid OSU fan, and enjoyed video games and playing pool. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 SCHOEDINGER LINDEN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2741 Cleveland Ave., where friends will be received after 1:00 pm Thursday.
