Charles Eric “Cegram” Gramby, age 73, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Sunrise: March 12, 1950 - Sunset: December 25, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles Haywood and Wiladene (Seawright) Gramby. Charles was a retired auditor with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services following over 30 years of service. He will be sorely missed by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Gramby; sons and daughter-in-law, Talib Gramby and Shamar Gramby and Nadia Gramby; beloved grandsons, Khalil Gramby and Talib Shamar Gramby; beloved granddaughter, Alexandra Gramby; sisters, Adeline (Thomas) Edwards and Theresa (Ralph) Leatherbury; brothers, Frederick Gramby and Victor Gramby; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. “Cegram” was a 1967 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management from Wilberforce University in 1972. He was a member of the Columbus Association of Black Journalists and a Board member of Leadership Experience LLC Columbus. Charles was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and the Phillies. He collected comic books, model cars and action figures. He loved watching the classic Western movies and was a true Trekkie at heart. Friends may call 9:00-10:00 am Saturday, January 6, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where funeral service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 6, 2024. Interment to follow Glen Rest Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made to his family, in Charles’s name.
