Carolyn M. Waring, age 70, of Reynoldsburg, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 1, 2024. She was born November 17, 1953 in Millington, TN, daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Cartwright) Kraus. She retired from AT&T following 20 years of service. After retiring, Carolyn developed a passion for working as a paralegal at several prestigious law firms around the Columbus area. She finished her career path as a preschool teacher at Primrose School in Reynoldsburg. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David Waring; daughter, Misty (Kevin) Moore; son, Michael Waring; beloved granddaughter, Cameryn Rose Moore; brother, Jerry (Tina) Kraus; niece and nephew, Jacqui and Peter; lifelong dear friend, Marilyn Wible; faithful companion, Buddie; as well as by other relatives and many friends. Carolyn was a strong, independent woman who was a devoted wife, mom, and Mema, who never missed a game or school event. She loved arts and crafts and was often found crocheting and selling her homemade designs at local craft shows. She was formerly an active member and Sunday school teacher at Barnett Road Baptist Church, where she also played the piano and sang in the choir. She then became a member of Jersey Church where she volunteered as a receptionist. She was a voracious reader, especially of western historical romance novels. Carolyn touched countless lives and will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E.
