Carolyn "Kay" Fuller passed away on June 1, 2019 after courageously battling pancreatic cancer for 22 months. Kay was born in Chicago and grew up in Upper Arlington. She resided in Columbus. She was a violin major and graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA and an MA. She taught music for 37 years, 35 of which was in Upper Arlington. She auditioned for, and was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall with conductor Robert Shaw. Kay spent most of her life very active and appreciated her many friends. She enjoyed the many opportunities she had to travel with her friend Carol Collier. Kay loved her shopping escapades with her friend Lisa Markovich. She loved being a Sunday night regular at Camerons with her friend Jeanne Koehl. She greatly appreciated all the help from friends Sally Tossey and Jeanne Tolford. She also appreciated the extensive care given by her daughter Cindy Gundling. Kay was grateful for all the time spent making memories with her grandchildren David and Abigail Gundling. Kay would tell everyone she had a "fabulous" life. She is beloved and will be missed by many. Kay is preceded in death by her parents Gertrude S. Kauer and Theodore J. Kauer, as well as brother Rob Kauer. Kay is survived by daughters Cynthia Gundling and Christine Fuller, as well as grandchildren David and Abigail Gundling. Calling hours will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 North High Street, on Wednesday, June 19 from 4-7pm. Kay was the choir director at All Saints for over 10 years.
