She was born November 2, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth D. and Ruth E. (Ryan) Cox. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Franklin Bressler; her children, Dr. Randy (Lisa) Bressler, Brett (Kay) Bressler and Amee (John) Foster and four beloved grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, Luke and Noah. Also survived by her sister and brothers, Sharon (Mike) Sabo, Steven (Mickey) Cox and David Cox; brother-in-law, Thomas Lombardo; several nieces, nephews and many cousins. Besides her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister Patricia J. Lombardo. She attended Immaculate Conception for grade school and was a graduate of Columbus North High School. In her younger years, she had a passion for flying even taking flying lessons. For a few years she was a stewardess with several airline companies. Carolyn loved to play tennis, go snow skiing with her family and traveling the world with her husband. She found great joy spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren at their lake house at Apple Valley. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 am Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 S. Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, with Monsignor Patrick Gaughan, Celebrant. Inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel East Foundation, 6150 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43213 to go towards stroke education and research or to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Carolyn's memory.
