Carolee Brown peacefully passed away on June 4, 2024, after an extended illness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Those she leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 63 years, Carter; her daughter Clarice (Rusty) Hoban; her granddaughter Duvessa Hoban; and her brother Joseph Jeter.
Her life’s journey began on February 15, 1937 in Cabool, Missouri. She was born to the late Henry Clement and Vera Hawkins Jeter. Following graduation from High School, Carolee attended Southwestern Missouri State University with a focus in Art.
Carolee was a creative soul who had a talent and a passion for the arts. She was an accomplished watercolor artist; she enjoyed traveling and taking in the world with her photography; planting seeds and seeing her garden transform; and was a voracious reader. She also was an amazing seamstress, and her talents allowed her to work with metal, creating sculptures and making pottery.
A longtime member of Maize Road United Methodist Church. Carolee was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star
Her life will be remembered with a private cremation entrusted to ADVANTAGE by SCHOEDINGER NORTH at 5554 Karl Road.
