Carol Patten

Carol was born August 23, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Nellie O’Connor.

She had an active life, enjoying travel, food, wine, ballroom dancing competitions and a long career with Ohio Bell from age 18 to retirement. Carol loved her family and Ascension Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, sister Kathleen Hart and brother-in-law Eugene Hart; stepson David Patten; brother-in-law Bill Patten.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Patten; sister-in-law Dee Hoffert; daughter Vickie Reyes; stepdaughter Susan (David) Newton; stepdaughter-in-law Tracie Patten; grandchildren, Mia Patten, Ava Patten, Rachel Newton; nieces Kathy (Gary Jordan) Hart and Judy (Elvin) Fowlkes; nephew Dennis (Darlene) Hart; and many other relatives and friends.

Family will accept friends on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Karen Asmus-Alsnauer officiating, all held at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. Carol will be laid to rest in Kingwood Memorial Park.
