Carol Jane Downey

Carol J. "Sissy" Downey, age 70 of Cardington, formerly of Darbydale, passed away January 15, 2018. Sissy was born in Posey County, IN to the late Kenneth Spore and Bonnie Jessie. She always had a smile on her face and put others first, especially her family. She liked crochet, watching old movies and was QVC's number one supporter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Clarence "Scotty" Downey III. Sissy is survived by her husband of 54 years Clarence Jr; son Wayne (fiancé Kelly Offenberger) Downey; grandchildren Laura and Brian Downey, and Kennedy Offenberger; brother Gerald (Linda) Spore; pet Chihuahuas Alvin and Simon; and many other family and friends. Family will receive friends from 11-1:30 PM Saturday at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway. Graveside service to follow at 2 PM Saturday at Grove City Cemetery.
