Brett William Hendrickson, 45 of Powell, died unexpectedly on June 24th, 2015. Born on December 27th 1969 to Larry and Dee (Hagar) Hendrickson of Lancaster, OH. Brett is survived by his parents; loving wife Krista (Kirkland) Hendrickson; two children, Eva and Kail Hendrickson; sister, Lynette (Lee) Tatman; brother, Bryan (Sarah) Hendrickson; nieces and nephews, Reece and Grace Tatman, and Jack and Eleanor Hendrickson; in-laws, Linda (Tod) Raymond, and Samuel (Mary-Beth) Kirkland.
Brett is known to be a kind, loving, and positive person who liked everyone. He was a rock for his family and many friends and held tightly to his faith. He and his family enjoyed the outdoors- often going on hiking trips, kayaking, and many other fun outdoor activities. Brett was an avid traveler as well, having lived in Japan, and traveling to Canada, Moldova, and to New York with his family to see the Broadway show Annie. Wife Krista affectionately says, she’d “never met a man like him.”
Brett was a graduate of Case Western Reserve Medical University and a well-respected, hardworking pediatric pathologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, dedicated to pediatric cancer research specializing in dermatology. He will be missed by many.
Friends may call from 11am-2pm, Monday, June 29th at SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. A service will be held at 2:00pm at the funeral home, Mike Borland will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation, Pediatric Research, Columbus, Ohio.
