After a long battle with cancer, she left us while sleeping peacefully at her residence in Richwood, Ohio. She was surrounded with love by her family.
Brenda inspired many with her positive outlook on life. It would be wrong to say that she lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was determined. When anyone else would have broken, Brenda stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Brenda. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn't mean she lost her fight.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Grover Stepp and brother, David Stepp. Survivors include her mother, Virginia Maxine Ellis; husband, David Rhodes; two sons, Jason (Heather) Schulze and Josh (Tiffany) Rhodes; daughter, Tina (Dennis) Collier; brother, Eddie (Ruth) Stepp; 10 grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob, Brandon, Damien, Tim, Brystal, Colton, Eva, London, Fallon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Brenda requested to be cremated. Visitation hours will be held at Schoedinger Funeral home in Dublin on Friday, September 24th from 5-8pm. A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, September 25th at 10am at Schoedinger Dublin. Inurnment will take place privately.
