Brenda was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Hess; and brother, Dwight Rinderle. Survived by daughter, Lona (John) Dowers; stepchildren, Jeffrey and Jacqueline Hess; granddaughter, Jeannette Dowers; grandson, Bradley Hess; great-grandchildren, Alec, Connor and Aryonna; sister, Reginnia (Leonard) Nichols; and sister-in-law, Loretta. Visitation will be held 4-7 pm on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
