Billie Kay Williams, age 86, formerly of Hilliard, Ohio, passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Carolyn’s Cottage in Grove City, Ohio. Billie was born on April 25, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold and Dollie (Hildenbrand) Marzluf. Billie was the youngest of their four daughters and predeceased by Betty, Dee, and RoseAnn. Billie loved her sisters! Billie is survived by her only son James Bradley (Nancy) Laver; her grandchildren Katie, Erin, and Ethan Laver; her step-grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, and Jenna Bryant; a special niece Rita Kyle Hooper; special nephews Steve and Tim Ambrose; special sister-in-law Mary Williams Staten; brother-in-law Bill (Debbie) Williams; cousin Steve (Kay) Marzluf, and many additional special friends and family – too numerous to mention! Billie was married to the late James L. Williams and previously to James R. Laver. Billie graduated from West High School in 1955. She later worked as a clerk at the Ohio House of Representatives and a records tech at the Columbus Police Department. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12 noon on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger – Hilltop Chapel 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 where a memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Mount Carmel Foundation Hospice or American Cancer Society. Inurnment at Sunset Cemetery at a later date.
