Betty Eleanor Stamm

Betty Stamm, age 86, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at Villa Angela Care Center with several family members beside her. She stayed strong until she knew she was tired of battling Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's Disease. Betty was born September 9, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio. She worked 32 years as a nurse as well as 22 years with Big Bear. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bernise Layman; husband, Howard Stamm; and sons, Howard and David Stamm. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Dale) Cook, Vicki (Glen) Lehman, Joyce Tucker, Kevin and Wayne Stamm, and Gail (Ron) Ohler; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-granddaughter. Betty will be greatly missed by all. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday followed by interment at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's memory may be made to Bella Care Hospice.
