Betty “GG” Newton, 92 of Columbus, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She was born March 26, 1925 in Columbus to the late Phillip and Ethel (Lucas) Marion. Betty was a 1943 graduate of Central High School and enjoyed bowling, shopping and reading. Betty is preceded in death by her husband John C. Newton and siblings Winnie, Mildred and Harry. She is survived by children Michael (Sheryl) Deck, Vicki (Randy) Petersen and Kelley (Scott) Jordan, grandchildren Holly, Jason, John, Alyssa and Trevor, great grandchildren Mycah, Emily, Kiersa, Milan and Mekhi. Also several nieces and nephews and longtime friends Grace and Cheryl. Memorial service will be Monday, July 17, 2017 at 7 PM with Pastor Karen Muntzing officiating with calling from 5PM until time of service at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd.
