Born on February 26, 1943, Beth’s Crooksville roots ran deep. She cherished sharing stories of her hometown with anyone who would listen (and even those who maybe wouldn’t, but she’d win them over anyway). While Crooksville held a special place in her heart, Beth’s adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, from the bustling streets of London to the sun-kissed beaches of Aruba, leaving a trail of new friends in her wake. Beth had a remarkable talent for making everyone feel seen and valued. She dedicated her life to her family and a fulfilling career and was also a dedicated keeper of Crooksville High School memories, organizing countless class reunions and get-togethers. Beth’s dogs (Tiger, Onyx and Roxy) were also a huge part of her life with the latter two filling a great void after retirement.
Beth’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unwavering belief in the power of family. She is survived by her children, Bret (Terry) Bodell, Tina (John) Chubb, Eric (Kate) Risinger, and Scott (Tina) Risinger; her sister, Herberta Vallee; and a loving collection of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She joins in eternal reunion her parents, Bertram Elmo and Thelma (Bierly) Allard, and her husband, Robert (Bob) Risinger.
A celebration of Beth’s life will be held on January 31, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Advantage by Schoedinger North, 5544 Karl Road, Columbus OH 43229.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Crooksville High School Alumni Association for scholarship opportunities. Alternatively, grab an Ice Capp, gather with loved ones, and share your favorite Beth story – because, trust us, you’ve got some good ones.
Donations may be sent to: Crooksville High School Alumni Association i/c of Herberta Vallee, 202 Elva Street, Crooksville OH 43731.
