Bertha Lee Briley

On Sunday June 3, 2018 our beloved mother Mrs. Bertha Lee Mack Briley affectionately known as “Honey Mack” transitioned peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 11, 1931. She spent her late years enjoying her family and her 3 cats Stormy, Sparkle, and Aspen. Honey Mack loved and enjoyed weekly visits from Sister Ella. NAncy, and Daria for readings of God's scriptures and teachings. She loved gardening, listening to gospel music, watching gospel shows, Judge Mathis, Animal Planet, ID channel and wrestling. Her favorite color was purple and her favorite snacks were Honey Buns and cookies. She is survived by many family members and friends. Special thanks to her sister Mrs. Willie B. Walton who was instrumental in her care by providing words of wisdom, inspiration and support whenever needed. Niece Mrs. Rosie M. Doby, great-nieces Mrs. Carrie Jean Ramsey, Mrs. Jerdine Johnson and granddaughter Mrs. Regina Jenkins who continues to honor her over the years through phone conversations, facetime, family photos and holiday cards. Special thanks to her favorite grandson Tajuan Anthony Briley whom we will be forever grateful for actively being there as her caretaker, friend and source of entertainment as she would eagerly anticipate his every visit. We thank God immensely for blessing us to have her for a wonderful 87 years and allowing us the chance to tell her again how much we love her, thank her for her love and to say our goodbyes before he decided it was time. We will always love and miss our dear Honey Mack and cherish every memory. We will uphold her legacy everyday as we move forward in life. God has spoken, let our family and friends say Amen.
