Barbara L. Welch

Barbara L. Welch, age 76, of Hilliard passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at the First Community Nursing Home. She was born on April 24, 1934 in Ostrander, OH to the late Ross and Anna Evans. Barbara was a proud stay at home Mom, who had a deep love for her family. She had a beautiful singing voice, enjoyed gardening and loved spending Christmas with her family. Her family will truly miss her gentle spirit, her lovely smile, her sense of humor and most of all her hugs. She is preceded in death by her brother William Evans of Ostrander; sister Helen Robinson of Columbus. She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 57 years, Clyde; children, Jeff (Denise) Welch, Melissa (Mark) Folk, Laurie (Edward) Schaefer; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Lia Welch, and Sarah, Anna and Emma Schaefer; sisters, Ella Grace Smart of Ostrander and Janet Miller of Hilliard. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00PM, Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St.(1/2 mile south of I-270), where the family will receive friends from 4-6pm preceding the service.
