Barbara Stone

Barbara J. Stone, age 74, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 after a valiant battle with cancer. Barbara was born in Sidney, Ohio on April 5, 1937; she was the daughter of the late E. John and Ruth H. Salsinger. Barbara is survived by her loving daughter, Brandy (Mike Airey) Stone; granddaughters, Alexis and Allyson Airey; and brother, John (Shirley) Salsinger. She is a graduate of Upper Arlington High School and received her B.A. in Education from The Ohio State University. Barbara was active in the Beaux Arts of Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts where she was former president. Barbara enjoyed shopping, movies and going on cruises. She will be remembered for her bubbly personality and she never met a stranger. A memorial service for Barbara will be on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 3pm, with family receiving friends one hour prior at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
