Audrey was born January 17, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Arthur Sr. and Viola Hatch, She was a graduate of East High School, class of 1946. Faith was very important to Audrey. She attended Linden Lutheran Church where she served as a greeter and taught Vacation Bible School. She had a special talent for knitting and won many awards. Audrey was especially known for knitting “Prayer Bears” that she gave to those in need of encouragement. She never knew a stranger. Once she befriended you, she treated you like family.
Audrey was a loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Mema. Besides her faith, family was the most important thing to her. She played an active role in her children’s lives. Audrey was a Den Mother, a room mother, a bowler, armadillo collector and a talented artist who loved to give her works to people she befriended.
In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Thomas Edward Jackson; her brother, Arthur Hatch Jr.; and her daughter, Karen Jayne Jackson.
Audrey is survived by her children, Michael (Carol) Jackson, Janis (Kevin) Duckworth, Roger (Karen) Jackson, Timothy (Belinda Barnes) Jackson; her grandchildren, Michelle (Matt Dorf) Jackson, Heather Jackson, Benjamin (Gemma) Duckworth, Luke (Sarah) Duckworth, Annie (Ryan) Mullenix, Nina (David) Vanlandingham, Clay (Rachel) Jackson, Marley Jackson, and Chase Jackson; her great-grandchildren, Kaden Dorf, Landry Dorf, Jake Butterworth, Bradley Butterworth, Luna Duckworth, Lyra Duckworth, Cameron Mullenix, Avalilly Mullenix, Kessler Mullenix, Delanie Mullenix, Jackson Vanlandingham, Calvin Vanlandingham, Theodore Vanlandingham, and Eliza Vanlandingham; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will accept friends Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus where funeral service will follow at 12:30pm with Pastor Jacqui Bushcor officiating. Audrey will be laid to rest next to her husband at Greenlawn Cemetery.
