Arlene L. VanHorn

Arlene L. Van Horn, age 76, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 28, 2010 at her home in Grove City. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Samuel and her parents, Herbert and Audrey Ruetty. Arlene was a 1952 graduate of South High School. She loved children, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Arlene cherished her years with Easter Seals as a teacher’s aide. She is survived by her sons Daniel (Jana) Van Horn, James (Donna) Van Horn, Timothy Van Horn; sister, Betty Schumacher; brother-in-law, Ed (Virginia) Van Horn; grandchildren, Joshua and Ashley Van Horn, Lindsey (Aaron) Paul, Angela (Shawn) Hall; great grandchildren, James and Kalob Van Horn, Nevaeh Paul; special niece Vivian (Lynn) Gardner; nephews, Irving (Julia), and Lyle (Jill) Schumacher, Samuel (Pam) and Stephen Van Horn; special and loving friend Virginia Harris. Special thanks to the care givers for all of the wonderful care given to Arlene over the years. Arlene was a long time member of Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grove City. Funeral service will be held 10:00AM Monday, February 1, 2010 at The Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2213 White Rd., Grove City. Pastor Kevin Westra officiating.
