Anthony Gibson Reid

Anthony "Tony" Gibson Reid II, 43, of Columbus Ohio, passed away on October 22, 2019. Tony was born on January 19, 1976 to Velta D. Gilbert and Anthony Gibson Reid. He graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1994, attended Edison Community College, and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in liberal studies.Tony worked at Worthington Industries for many years.

Tony is survived by his wife Sharyl Dunbar-Reid; daughters, Reid and Jerica Dunbar; parents Velta D. Gilbert and Anthony Gibson Reid; sisters Velita T. Harris (Cliff Harris), Trisha A. Reid, cousin Michael "MJ" Johnson, nephew Navy Man Steven D. Daniels; nieces Laren Darby and Christiana S. Daniels; great niece Zahana and great nephew Lathaniel. He is preceded in death by stepfather William J. Banks; grandmother Mary Ann Reid; uncle Wayne "Fingers" Reid, and great grandmother Fannie Lou Finch.

He will be remembered by his love for basketball, his smile and his kind heart. Calling hours will be held on Saturday November 2nd from 12-2pm, followed by a funeral service, both to be held at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Dinner following the service will be held at the Worthington Community Center located at 345 E. Wilson Bridge Road, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Burial services will be held on Monday November 4th at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High Street, Route 23 North, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035.
