It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Thatcher Burke, age 31, of Westerville, Ohio, on December 17, 2024. He was born November 5th, 1993 to Amber Burke. Anthony’s life was a testament to the love he had for his family, his unyielding determination, and his deep commitment to creating a future for those he loved. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Anthony was proceeded in death by his grandfather, James Burke, who was his world and played a central role in his life. It is with comfort that Anthony will be laid to rest beside him. The love they shared is something that will never fade, and their bond is one that will continue to inspire those who knew them both.
Anthony leaves behind his beloved mother, Amber Burke, his cherished grandmother, Vickie Burke, his loyal dog Maxwell “da God”, his devoted cousin and best friend, Alexander Burke, his “baby” Elizabeth Burke (cousin), his loving aunt and uncle Brandi (John) Burke and his extended family and friends. Anthony shared a deep and unwavering bond with his "Nana," Vickie Burke, whose love and guidance were a constant cornerstone of his life. He was also a treasured friend to many, and his business partners, colleagues, and mentors will forever remember his work ethic and vision.
At the heart of Anthony’s life was his family. He was protective, nurturing, and sweet – a constant source of support and love. His relationship with his mother was especially profound; she was not only his mother but also his best friend. He adored her deeply, and their bond was a source of great strength and joy in his life. Anthony’s love for her knew no bounds, and he always sought to make her proud and ensure she knew how much she meant to him.
Anthony was a dedicated entrepreneur, a loving family man, and a friend to everyone he met. His bright spirit and magnetic charm made an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. He had a natural ability to connect with others, and his wit, kindness, and warmth drew people to him. Whether as a business partner, a mentor, or a friend, Anthony’s intelligence, hard work, and determination were unmatched. His ability to dream big and turn those dreams into reality was truly inspiring. His loved ones and business partners often spoke of his irreplaceable mind and the unwavering dedication he showed in everything he did. He uplifted others, inspired them to be their best, and made sure everyone felt valued.
Anthony’s greatest joy was seeing his loved ones thrive, and he was always willing to do whatever it took to support them. He lived his life with purpose, always striving to create a better future for those he cherished. He was a true example of strength, compassion, and resilience, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
Anthony’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved him, but we take comfort in knowing his light, laughter, and the impact he made on this world will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
The immediate family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation on Sunday, December 29th from 1-5pm at Schoedinger Northwest 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30th, at 11am at Schoedinger Northwest. Interment at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio.
