

Anne Kirchner Tsitouris, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 11, 1946 and is preceded in death by her parents Walter A. Kirchner MD and Jacquelyn Coogle Kirchner. She is survived by her loving husband, Chris C. Tsitouris, Sr. to whom she was married for 47 years; her three children, Chris C. Tsitouris Jr. (Nicole Farrell), Alexander K. Tsitouris (Cara Kozma Tsitouris), and Katherine A. Tsitouris and the special delights of her life, her grandchildren, Jackson, Cameron, Grace and Nicholas. Anne is also survived by three sisters, Kristen Kirchner, Gretchen Kirchner (Dennis Smith) and Erica Kirchner and two nieces and a nephew. Her career in law was a very special part of her life. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with her BA in Psychology in 1968 and the University of Louisville Law School with her Juris Doctor in 1970, also studying at the University of Exeter Law School in Exeter, England. She began her legal career as an Assistant Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney in 1985, became the Administrative Counsel of the Franklin County Child Support Enforcement Agency in 1988, and became a Magistrate in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Branch in 1993. She served as a Magistrate for 20 years. Anne, who married her husband in 1971 and moved to Columbus, Ohio, felt strongly about community volunteerism and as a result served on many volunteer boards and worked as a volunteer for many community organizations. Anne served as Chair of the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (ADAMH), Chair of the Prevention Institute, Development Chair of the Childhood League Center, and as a member of the AIDS Community Task Force of Columbus and Franklin County. She was a volunteer and member of Junior League of Columbus, Beaux Arts of the Columbus Museum of Art, and Pro Met (Ballet Met). She also served on other community boards and was active in the legal community. In addition to her love of her family and the law and her commitment to the community, she enjoyed traveling to every part of the world with her husband Chris, but especially with her fearless daughter, Kate who was her yearly travel companion. Anne loved people and enjoyed life to the fullest. She is overwhelmingly proud of her dedicated and hard-working husband, children and daughters-in-law. No wife and mother could be more privileged than to be a part of their lives. A life well lived. Copeland and his caring, tenacious team at the Center for Gynecologic Oncology at The Ohio State University's Mill Run facility for their advocacy, unfailing optimism, and professionalism in joining her in her fight with ovarian cancer.
