Anna Mae "Penny" Shaw

Anna Mae “Penny” Shaw, age 91, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Westminster Thurber Community. She was born April 27, 1919 in Athens, Ohio to the late George and Mae Pennell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Shaw; brother, George “Duke” Pennell; and mother-in-law, Elsie Moore Shaw. Penny is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Bill) Adamaitis; daughter, Deborah (Bill) Machovina; son, Thomas E. (Julie) Shaw; grandson, Thomas H. (Alisha) Shaw; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Riley. Penny is a member of Boulevard Presbyterian Church. A celebration of her life will be held with a visitation 9-10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 5 at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL 229 E. State St. Rev. James Sledge officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
