

Alfred “Al” Max Vogt, 81 of Gahanna passed away suddenly Saturday, October 16, 2010. He was born July 5, 1929 in Columbus and was a 1947 graduate of South High School. Al was an engineer specializing in tool design starting out at Heinemann Pump and retiring from Rockwell International after a full career. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Al was a natural leader who rose to all challenges. He was a devoted husband and a proud father who enjoyed sports, crafting fine leatherwork gifts, travel and winning at cards. Preceded in death by his parents, Max and Luise Vogt; wife, Mildred in 2007; and daughter, Kandace Keller in 2010. Alfred will be missed by his loving children, Sharon Vogt and Albert (Mary) Vogt; 5 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 5pm until the time of funeral services at 7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH.
