Waneta J. Scott

Mrs. Scott was a homemaker and a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church. She was active in 4-H when her children were younger and played piano for her church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Wayne Lee officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Bear Creek Cemetery in Jennings County.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Washington County June 1, 1922, Mrs. Scott was the daughter of George and Emma Sawyer Hattabaugh. She married Omer E. Scott May 24, 1945, in Vallejo, Calif. He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Larry (Susan) Scott of Hope and Richard (Barbara) Scott of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Linda (Moe) Thompson of Columbus; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brothers, Lloyd and Melvin Hattabaugh.
