Ronald Lee Ellis

Mr. Ellis earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University. He retired from both Arvin Industries and NTN Driveshaft. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbus.

Ron was an active member of the Masonic Lodge and Knights Templar. In 2009, he was Past Master of the Camon Lodge #343, Hope, IN. He also served as their current chaplain. He was Past Grand Eminent Commander of the Grand Commandery of the Knight Templar of Indiana in 2004.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Beverly K. Ellis, in 2021.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Gail (Al) Scroggins of Mooresville, NC; and companion, Wilma Friend of Greensburg.

The funeral service with Masonic Rites, will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2024 at Myers-Reed Chapel with Rev. Howard Boles officiating. Visitation will also be at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery, Mineral Springs.
