Bob was born May 9, 1922, in Columbus, the son of Edward O. and Amelia Wint Stuckey.
He graduated from Columbus High School in 1940 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was an aircraft and engineering mechanic and had served as the side gunner on a B24 during the air offensive in Europe, Northern France and Normandy during World War II. He received the European, African and Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Air Crew member Badge and the Purple Heart.
He worked for Reeves Pulley for 42 years, retiring in 1986, in the purchasing department. He was a former board member of the Alzheimer’s Association and Best Friends, enjoyed research in family genealogy and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Larry Isbell officiating. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from noon until service time Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Best Friends.
He is survived by sons, Dennis R. (Janet) Stuckey of Oxford, Ohio and Timothy D. (Cindy) Stuckey of Hope; grandchildren, Pamela (Jack) Holt of Chicago and Brandon Allen of Columbus; a sister, Shirley Schultz of Edinburgh; and a brother, Roy (Fran) Stuckey of Navarre, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Agnes E. Rayman on Oct. 24, 1992; and a sister, Margie Reeves.
