He was a 1970 graduate of Columbus High School and attended Ball State University and Indiana University.
Mr. Perry followed in his family's pattern making heritage. He worked as a pattern maker at Engelking's and at Daimler-Chrysler. He was a proud father and enjoyed camping, photography, and Indycar. He was also an accomplished woodworker and cabinet maker. Most of all, he enjoyed taking care of his family.
Rick is survived by his loving daughter, Leah Marguerite "Maggie" Perry of Columbus; granddaughter, Evelyn Alice Perry of Columbus; and sister, Susan (Gary) Dodd of Hope.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Clayton Bartholomew Perry; and brother, Randall D. Perry.
A visitation will be held from 12 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Myers-Reed Chapel. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Garland Brook Cemetery.
