Mr. Blair was an auto mechanic and boat mechanic specialist in the Columbus area for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and family time.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be Monday from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born in Whitesburg, KY, Nov. 17, 1933, Mr. Blair was the son of Melvin and Crissie Hampton Blair. He married Lorene Casey and they spent 53 years together.
Survivors include his wife, of Columbus; daughters, Sheila (Randy) Hampton of Hope and Rayetta (Alan) Mize of Columbus; sons, Steve (Ruth) Blair of Rugby, IN, and Anthony Blair of Columbus; brothers, Robert (Thelma) Blair of Globe, AZ, and Bobby Blair of Whitesburg, KY; grandchildren, Cory and Melissa Hampton, Austin Mize, Steven Ray, Joseph, Aaron, Tyler and Ashley Blair, Anthony Dale Blair II, Bryce and Morgan Blair; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Rex, Walter, Billy and Bruce Blair.
