Mrs. Crump was born in Franklin, Indiana, on October 08, 1916, the daughter of the late Benton Uriah “BUD” and Olive Norton (Grubb) DeVore.
She married Ross G. Crump in Franklin, Indiana, on March 25, 1939, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1985.
Mrs. Crump was a homemaker.
She received her bachelor’s degree (BS in Biology) from Franklin College.
Mrs. Crump was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Indiana, where she served as a Deacon and Elder. She was also a member of the Pi Beta Phi and Tri Kappa Sororities, Franklin College Alumni Association, and the Bookmark Club. She volunteered many hours at the Love Chapel and serving meals at the Church. She volunteered many hours helping with the Donner Swim Team. She was an outstanding mother and her passion was caring for her yard, garden and homeplace. She loved to travel and travelled the world with her friends and family.
A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mrs. Crump will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 03, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church, 512 Seventh Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201, with Interim Pastor Scott Hill officiating.
The family will receive friends in the Law’s Room at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service on Tuesday.
Inurnment will be in the City Cemetery in Columbus, Indiana in the Crump Cemetery Plat.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Foundation or to The Love Chapel Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hathaway-Myers Chapel and The Columbus Crematory on Pearl Street.

Mrs. Crump is survived by her son, F. Jefferson (Nancy B.) Crump III of Columbus, Indiana; her daughter, Nancy Ann Fullmer of Annapolis, MD; five grandchildren, F. Thomas (Athena) Crump III and Anne Crump (Mark) Owens both of Columbus, Indiana, Laura Crump (Doug) Lancaster of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Tessa and Spencer Fullmer both of Annapolis, Maryland; and five great grandchildren, F. Jefferson Crump IV of Lafayette, Indiana, Phillip Huston Crump of Columbus, Indiana and triplets, William Ross, Saylor Elizabeth and Wyatt Joseph Lancaster all of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Along with her parents and husband of 46 years, Mrs. Crump was also preceded in death by a son, Ross G. “Chip” Crump, Jr., in 1960 and a brother, Benton Uriah “BUD, Jr.” DeVore, Jr.
