Norma Janie J. Long

Norma was born November 27, 1946 in Columbus, IN. the daughter of the late Herman “Mike” and Mary Alice Euler Long.

She worked for 36 years as a clerical assistant at the Bartholomew County Department of Family and Children.

She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and the Columbus Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, collecting bears and socializing.

The funeral service celebrating the life of Norma will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, January 27, 2014 at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Larry Klebenow officiating.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM Monday.

Burial will be in Reddington Cemetery in Reddington, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Riley Hospital for Children or the American Cancer Society.

Norma is survived by her best friend, Helen Jackson of Columbus, IN.; two aunts, Agnes and Alice Euler both of Columbus, IN. and cousins, Roberta DeSantis, James and Tim Euler all of Columbus, IN. and Esther Weathers of New Albany, IN., Julie Curry of Bloomington, IN., Ed Euler of Springfield, IL., Pat Euler of Lexington, KY. and Mary Jane Hoffmeister of Florence, KY.
