Marion William Herron

Bill was born in Columbus April 13, 1928, the son of Marion and Myrtle Brooks Herron. He married Susan J. Shepherd in 1952 in Columbus. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and he loved sports. He worked in the purchasing department at Arvin Industries many years, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include his wife, Susan J. Herron of Columbus; daughter, Jane (John) Carson of Columbus; son, Brad (Annie) Herron of Lebanon, Indiana; grandchildren, Courtney (Lance) Short of Franklin, Indiana, Casey (Jake) Herron-Hockenbury of Brownsburg, Corey Herron, Robbie (Megan) Edwards and Rustin (Jackie) Edwards, all of Lebanon, Indiana; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jenny Herron; brother Jack Herron.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Garland Brook Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Howard Boles officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the chapel.
