Larry was born January 4, 1952 in Greensburg, Indiana to Robert and Betty Vinson. He graduated from Columbus High School and 1970 and attended Indiana State University where he studied Art.
Larry was a Realtor for 30 years and worked for his father at House and Home Realty. He also worked for Bartholomew County School Corporation for 30 years as a bus driver.
Larry was a member of Church of the Galilean, now known as The Rock Free Methodist. He was a talented artist and enjoyed painting recreationally. He also played bass guitar and performed country music with Tom Pickett.
Larry had a broad range of other hobbies including metal detecting, collecting rocks, scuba diving, and flying drones and he even worked occasionally as a “Hot Air Balloon Chaser”.
Larry leaves behind his wife, Marilyn Vinson; daughters, Laila Mcauliffe, Aimee Vinson, and Kayleigh Vinson; son, Richard Vinson; grandchildren, Christian Collins, Victoria Mcauliffe, Chloe Collins, and Cash Vinson; and great-grandchildren, Benten Vinson and Addy Vinson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
