Jim was friendly to everyone and enjoyed meeting new people at flea markets. An avid flea marketer, Jim was always buying beloved treasures, whether he needed them or not. Jim was a collector of many things and always on the search of new items. After his move to Florida, he enjoyed phone calls to keep up with friends from all parts of his life including coon hunting buddies and previous coworkers from his nearly 30 year employment with Arvin Industries Gladstone Plant. Jim also took pride in growing large, juicy tomatoes and tinkering in his garage.
Jim’s early homegoing will be felt deeply by his family and friends. Jim’s children; Becky Applegate (Seymour, IN), James McDaniel (Port Charlotte, FL), Aundraea (Allie) Henderson (Scottsburg, IN), Heather (Jesse) Law (Crothersville, IN), and grandchildren; Mallory Applegate, Franklin & Helen McDaniel, Alexis & Raven Schneck, Bladen and Prezlee Henderson, J. Owen and Ruby Law; his sisters, Ann Steele, Ada Lunsford, Alfa McDaniel, Jeannie Rucker and Fanny McDaniel; along with his companion and favorite fishing partner Heidi Coffey (Okeechobee, FL) all remain to remember Jim’s life.
Jim was welcomed home by many members of his family. Jim’s father and mother (John Henry & Nannie (Elton) McDaniel) and siblings, Corinna McDaniel, Sophia (Susie) McDaniel, Granville Pearl, Charles, George, William, John D., Roscoe, Kenneth, Ray, Clarence, and Joe McDaniel proceeded him in death departing this earth.
