David John Guinn

Mr. Guinn was an instrumentation technician at Cummins Engine Company from 1981 to 1996. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1970 and was an electronics expert and short-wave radio operator.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.

Born in Columbus March 21, 1939, Mr. Guinn was the son of John Albert and Evelyn Guthrie Guinn.

Survivors include a daughter, Carrie (Amos) Guinn King of Elizabethtown; a son, John (Melissa) Guinn of Seymour; one sister; and grandchildren, Caylie, Brianna, Faith and Michael Guinn, all of Seymour.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
