Betty L. Bush

Betty was born November 18, 1930 in Columbus to parents Hershel and Nona Vandagriff. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1948. Betty married Marion "Horsefly" Bush on April 20, 1952 in Columbus. They shared 35 wonderful years together before he passed in 1987.

Betty was the last surviving member of the 2nd generation to own Bush's Market. She was a longtime member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church and was approaching her 75th year as a member of the Order of The Eastern Star.

Betty is survived by her son, Rick (Jane) Bush; her sister, Sue Ann Vandagriff; grandchildren, Ami (Dave) Tincher, Brandon (Hayli) Bush, Sadie (Josh) Cox, Mollie (Toni) Bush-Nord, and Josh (Nicole Corio) Bush; and 8 great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Gary Bush.

A private funeral service will be held and Betty will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date.

Memorial Donations in her name may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Sandy Hook United Methodist Church.
