Zackery “Zack” Bowman, age 20, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. A visitation for family and friends of Zackery will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907. Following the visitation of family and friends will be a celebration of Zack's life at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
Zack was born in Columbus, GA on June 23, 2001; the son of Jerry Bowman, Sr. and Michelle East. He attended school in Smith Station. From an early age Zack always had a smile on his face, he was a bit of a daredevil, and lived his life to the fullest. Zack enjoyed hanging out with his friends, cutting up with each other, and the aggravation that only a loving sister and brother share with each other. Zack also enjoyed car karaoke, dancing, fishing, hunting, and music, all of which were made that much better when he was with his family and friends. Zack was resilient, regardless of what would come his way, he faced head on, handling the situation and conquering the battles of his life. That smile, the one that would light up a room, melt his mother’s heart, along with his personality would put others at ease, will be cherished and missed.
Zack is preceded in death by: his granddad, Byron Sellers; and grandmother, Patricia Sellers.
Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Michelle and Caleb East; father, Jerry Bowman, Sr.; sisters, Kendall Bowman, Christy (Richard) Gilliland; brothers, Jerry Bowman III, Ronnie (Sydney) Richardson, and Jerry (Amber) Bowman.
