A Celebration of Windland's Life will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
Windland's favorite colors were red and pink. There wasn't a better color lipstick than red. Every Disney princess was a favorite. She got to go on a Make A Wish trip and was able to meet each one personally. She loved to cook, but don't try to get her to eat any of it. For shopping, it was always Walmart bound. When going out to eat, it was Mexican - more specifically a cheese quesadilla, cheese dip, chips, and salsa. Windland had three dogs that she loved - Lucy (her dog), Willow and Wes.
Windland was a homebound student. She loved each of her teachers (Mrs. Rizinger, Ms. Becky, Mrs. Lisa and Mr. Doleman) writing her name, letters and numbers. She loved to dance and sing. She loved scary movies. The original Scream was a favorite. Coraline and Descendants were favorites of hers too. Her favorite pastime was anything on her iPad. Her favorite YouTubers were: FGTEEV, A For Addley, CoryxKenshin, Dashiexp, Lankybox, and Ryan's World. Playing Xbox with her girls and Dad was something she loved doing. She loved being included with her sisters' friends when they were visiting. Aidan, Alaina and Katelyn held a special place in Windland's heart.
Windland was full of love, sass, grit, fire, determination, humor, and light. Windland's heart was as big as she was. She loved her family just as big: Momma and Daddy, sisters- Riley and Kaelin (aka her girls), her brother- Jonathan, Hei Hei and Nanny, Pop Pop (Jeanette), Uncle James, Aunt Alice, and cousins- Landon, Griffin and Garrett.
She was a gift and pure light. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Forever in our hearts.
